Cyrus Bates was
born February 17, 1792 in Halifax, Windham, Vermont to Oliver Bates and
Rebecca Hart. He was married to Lydia Harrington (born December 7, 1795
in West Halifax, Windham, Vermont) on February 18, 1813. To them were
born 11 children:
